"Let's Do the Time Warp Again"

I was first exposed to the Rocky Horror Picture Show in the early 80's in Boston. The movie ran every Saturday at midnight for countless years at the old Exeter Theatre downtown. After the Exeter was torn down, the movie shifted to its present-day base of operations at the Harvard Square Cinema.

I attended the movie only a dozen or so times, but I've met some people who have seen the movie—along with the accompanying "floor show" hundreds of times. They've not only memorized all of the lines and lyrics, but they have invented thousands of lines of home-grown retorts that they shout out during the presentation.

Although much of the show's mystique is gone now—the movie can be rented on video and seen anytime, anywhere (not just at midnight)—it's still a great musical classic.

Who can forget Tim Curry's famous role as Dr. Frankenfurter—that charming, talented, transexual from Transylvania, who only wanted to be loved?
